“I originally started Heaton Rail due to experiencing first hand difficulties in trying to find and hire good talent in rail. The old ways of doing things took too long and didn’t deliver the right people I needed.
Being an Engineer and Manager in rail, I felt that I could better connect with, understand, and deliver on a client’s requirements. To this day I still personally consult on a regular basis to make sure I don’t lose this connection and understanding.

Our team undertake work ranging from managing high value and complex projects, designing innovative engineering solutions for aging assets, leading testing and commissioning activities, all the way through to designing and delivering organisational changes.
In 2020, Heaton Rail stepped into a new digital era of our business with the release of our market leading online platform, RoleSpot.
RoleSpot vets and aggregates talent such as engineers, managers and specialists from every possible source including our own staff, job seekers, retirees, contractors, consultants, and even other businesses with underutilised staff, and enables companies to directly find, contact and hire them in the fastest way possible.
